Friends of Europe is a leading Brussels-based think-tank for EU policy analysis and debate that is independent of the EU institutions and without national or political bias. Friends of Europe's goal since 1999 has been to stimulate new thinking on the future of Europe and widen the EU debate by making it more controversial and lively, by covering a large spectrum of issues, by promoting the use of media technologies, and by encouraging media involvement.
Friends of Europe also publishes Europe's World , an independent policy journal. Published three times yearly, it is the only pan-European publication that can offer policymakers and opinion-formers across Europe a platform for presenting ideas and forging consensus on key issues. It also reflects the diversity of national policy debates in EU states, with particular attention being paid to newcomer and candidate countries.
