Civil Society workshop recommendations presented to Eastern Partnership summit

The recommendations of the six workshops that met during the conference, Eastern Partnership: Towards Civil Society Forum, held in Prague, Czech Republic, on 5-6 May 2009, were distributed to the country delegations attending the Eastern Partnership summit in Prague on 7 May 2009.

The conference, organised by the Association for International Affairs (AMO), included workshops on:

• Building a Partnership of Shared Values? Thematic focus: Democracy, Good Governance and Human Rights
• Resolving Conflicts: Pre-condition for Development in other Areas? Thematic focus: Security and Peace Building
• EU Role in Economic Convergence of EaP Countries. Thematic Focus: Economic Integration
• Connecting Neighbours: From Infrastructure to People-to-People Contacts. Thematic Focus: Communication, Transport, Visa Facilitation
• Eastern Partnership and Energy Security. Thematic Focus: Energy Security
• A Role for the Civil Society Forum in the Eastern Partnership. Thematic Focus: Agenda and Design of the EaP Civil Society Forum
