A PASOS group and a PASOS page have been created on Facebook, connecting PASOS members and friends around the world.

The launch of the PASOS group on Facebook signals an embrace of new media by PASOS in the knowledge that many staff and analysts working with the PASOS members are online with Facebook and other online networking sites. It also provides an opportunity to share news with the many members of the group who are not directly affiliated with PASOS.

The group is an open to all with a Facebook acount, and provides a space where users can chat as well as post news, events, links and photographs. News from the PASOS website and the corresponding links will be posted regularly on the Facebook group site.

The potential for attracting interest in an event or the launch of a new policy study is limitless, as messages and links can be shared with group members who can then pass it on to their extensive contacts through their friends on Facebook.

The PASOS group is accessible here. Membership of the group is open to all Facebook users.

It is also possible now to become a fan of PASOS on Facebook through the PASOS page on Facebook, which is accessible here. The PASOS page is similar to the group, but with better indexing for search engines (and accessbiel without a Facebook account), it includes fewer limitations on sharing details about events to a large number of Facebook users - who can be both a member of the PASOS group and a fan of the PASOS page.
